Dino Melaye Escapes Death As Men In Military Uniform Open Fire On His Convoy

Senator Dino Melaye has survived another assassination attempt on his life yet again. The popular senator made the revelation on his Twitter page on Sunday.

Dino revealed that some armed thugs clothed in camouflage fired at his convoy in the city of Lokoja. However, he manged to escape death by providence.

Dead bodies found in front of an hotel

In what will come across as a rather shocking development, some 'human bones' have been found buried in front of a Lagos hotel, leading to diverse speculations.

Detectives at Ilasamaja Police Station in Lagos are presently working round the clock to unravel the circumstances that led to the alleged burying of human beings at the entrance of the popular hotel in Papa Ajao area of Mushin.

The facility called R & A hotel is located at 10, Lawal Babalola Street, Mushin, with branches in Allen Avenue area of Ikeja. Preliminary investigation led to the exhumation of what appeared to be human bones on November 22, 2018, at 8:30 am. The excavation became necessary following confessional statements by a suspect, identified as Gbenga, the hotel manager.

Diezani In Trouble As Judge Gives 72 Hours For Her Arrest

The EFCC, the Nigerian Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS) and all other security agencies yesterday got an order to arrest a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke within 72 hours.

Justice Valentine Ashi of a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, sitting in Apo, Abuja, gave the order.

According to a press statement signed by acting spokesperson to the EFCC Mr Tony Orilade it had prayed for an order of the court, to issue a warrant of arrest against Madueke, to enable the Commission apprehend and arraign her for alleged financial crimes in Nigeria.

Ex govrrnor- fayose was involved in a Gastly accident

Ayo Fayose, the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, was on Wednesday involved in an accident on the ever busy Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

The media aide of the former governor, Lere Olayinka revealed the accident, even as he said Fayose was in a stable condition and receiving medical treatment.

Yahoo boys busted in abuja- (what a pity)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested nine Internet fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo-Yahoo boys, in Abuja.

The suspects were arrested by the Advance Fee Fraud Section of the Commission on November 30, 2018 through an intelligence report received on the fraudulent activities of the suspected fraudsters residing somewhere along Airport Road, as they were obviously living above their means.

Operatives of the EFCC had carried out surveillance for days on the activities of the fraudsters before they swooped in on them. 

Peter Obi Reacts To Father Mbaka's Statements

The vice presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Peter Obi, has asked people to stop attacking Rev Ejike Mbaka over his prophecies.

Obi’s reaction came following a pronouncement by Mbaka on Sunday that both Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and President Muhammadu of the APC might not win the 2019 presidential election.

In a statement by Obi’s media aide, Val Obienyem, the former governor of Anambra State said he did not feel bad about the priest’s pronouncement.

Buhari's wife arrested for frauds

A scandalous scene broke out at the headquarters of the State Security Service (SSS) on Monday, after a fraud suspect paraded by the secret police indicted top associates of President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha.

During a press event to parade Amina Mohammed on Monday afternoon, SSS accused the middle age woman of gaining unauthorized entries into the Presidential Villa over a period of time, during which she impersonated top government officials, including once identifying herself as the first lady of Kogi State.

Small doctor arrested in Lagos while pointing gun on a police man

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a popular hiphop artiste, Adekunle Temitope, popularly known as ‘Small Doctor’, for alleged possession of firearms and indiscriminate shooting.

Three others involved in the crime were also apprehended.

The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Edgal Imohimi, while briefing journalists on Monday, said Small Doctor, who was being investigated for allegedly firing indiscriminately after a show at Agege on Tuesday, November 27, also threatened to shoot a traffic police officer, who was on duty in the Oshodi area of Lagos State.

The echoes of the 2015 presidential election won by President Muhammadu Buhari reverberated on Tuesday as former President Goodluck Jonathan presented his book, ‘My Transition Hours,’ to the public in Abuja.

Dignitaries that included former Heads of State in Nigeria and West Africa, former ministers and traditional rulers took turns to shower encomiums on the former President for conceding defeat in the election.

Buhari was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

Jonathan himself admitted that some unnamed individuals both in Nigeria and outside the country expressed surprise at his decision.
